I have struggled for years with the diet-binge cycle and this program has helped me break free of that mindset. For the first time in my life, I am using food as nourishment for my body and not punishment. I had been so obsessed with losing weight that I never bothered to try to change my mindset or really work on my overall health (sleep, hydration, stress management, etc.) This program gave me the tools and support to implement healthy routines.

Nutritional Freedom helped me reset and shift my focus from obsessing about food to listening to my body. My mindset is completely changed and now remains the focus of my efforts. When my mindset is my focus, I find that my relationship with my body improves. As my relationship with food improves, I find that I can really trust myself and my choices!

Seriously I WISH I had this program when I was in middle school so I could've saved years of negative relationships with my body and food. I went on vacation with my boyfriend last week to San Diego. We did a lot of relaxing, beach, walking around. I had more energy I’ve had in awhile! I actually liked myself in my bathing suit I got. I had some ups and downs with body image but overall I was just happy to be there and have some time to refresh.

A co-worker brought donuts for everyone on Friday. In the past I would’ve been hyper focused on them or felt guilty for having one. This time I wasn’t concerned about the donuts and knew if I wanted one, I could have one. I didn’t have one but if I did I would’ve enjoyed!

I felt very in tune with my hunger and fullness levels this week. I ate what I wanted when it served me. I challenged myself with a new workout regimen. I feel motivated to improve my strength and endurance rather than lose weight.

This week I was able to take a few extra rest days from my regular movement routine due to added stress and a sore shoulder. It was empowering to not feel guilty doing what my body needed.

After a few weeks of being a bit “off track” (if I still said things like that), my husband and I did some Sunday meal prep to get us both feeling better: extra lean ground turkey taco meat for him (he wants to lose a few pandemic pounds and googled “best meal prep for weight loss”) vs. pork chorizo for me because I know I feel better with more fat in my diet. I’d also like to lose some weight but now I realize that feeding myself bland, boring food will only lead to overeating unhealthy foods if I’m not satisfied and go against my goals. Yay for Nutritional Freedom mindset shifts!

I've been working on my body checking habit and it wasn't going well. So, I started saying a positive affirmation each time I did it. The one I've been saying the most is "I have a good and normal body." This morning, I didn't have to force it. My VERY FIRST THOUGHT was, "Good morning, my good body!" and I legit could have cried.
